Swire
Properties has sold 40 units at StarCrest in Wan Chai at an average of
$7,600 per square foot.
Senior Sales and
marketing manager Wendy Gan said the sales response was encouraging
and most buyers were end-users.
Prices achieved
yesterday were higher than the previous sale of about $7,000 per
square foot last year.
She said the
development still had 150 unsold units and that the company was not in
a hurry to put them on sale as the supply in the urban area remained
tight.
The schedule for
the next release was not yet finalised, she said, adding the company
would review the prices for the remaining units later.
Yesterday, a 1,158
sq ft apartment with harbour view went for $10,611 per square foot or
$12.28 million while another 1,130 sq ft unit with a mountain view
sold for $10.39 million or $9,200 per square foot.
Swire offered
another 14 units after the first batch of 26 units were snapped up in
the morning. Units were offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
StarCrest, at 9
Star Street, is a twin-tower development with 325 apartments of 729 to
1,172 sq ft. It also has four duplexes of 1,902 sq ft.
In addition to
StarCrest, Swire plans to release the 1,920-unit first phase of Ocean
