Andrea Eng temporarily delayed from
$2-billion cash-raising job
Andrea Eng, the former Vancouver real
estate deal-cutter, is temporarily grounded here from the Hong
Kong-Boston-New York circuit she's been flying for Victor Li of the
billionaire clan.

Li was on  Canadian
Interior magazine's cover.
Now, Victor, whose dad Li
Ka-shing tops the Hutchison Whampoa conglomerate, has put $800 million
into its Asian Property Fund with the proviso that $1.2 billion be raised by
Eng and Cynthia Suen, who first rolled Taiwanese dough into
Concord Pacific's Expo-lands redevelopment here.
Eng, who sometimes stomps the U.S. with Hutchison
Whampoa CFO and former Stikeman Elliott law firm hotshot Frank Sixt's
wife Anne, is also assembling Sino-U.S. deals. She sounded encouraged
by China's recent acceptance into the World Trade Organization.
